Matt Mahaney Chief Legal Officer and Managing Director Matt Mahaney is a licensed attorney who brings over 12 years of experience in various sectors of commercial, corporate, intellectual property, and construction related areas of law to PCEG. As an officer and stakeholder of PCEG, Matt will oversee all legal issues and contribute substantially to both PCEG and the project it supports. Matt began his legal career at a private law firm working primarily on complex construction litigation and insurance coverage issues. In 2005, Matt joined Steelman Partners as General Counsel and immediately began building a law department within the organization. Besides successfully negotiating favorable multi-million dollar contracts, Matt became instrumental in dealing hands-on with all corporate legal issues including intellectual property, corporate structuring, employment law, and business litigation. Matt also became crucial in all aspects of project financing and development from inception to delivery. A relentless advocate for the organizations he represents, Matt has used these skills, along with the ability to work through opposing views, to effectuate many favorable results through negotiations, mediation, and litigation. Matt has since been named Chief Legal Officer of Steelman Partners as well as all affiliated organizations in the multi-national group of companies closely affiliated with Steelman Partners, including Steelman Partners Europe, Steelman Partners Vietnam, Steelman Partners Australia, Steelman Architecture Asia, Inviro Studios, DSAA, shop12, Hyperion Dynamic, and MARQI. Matt's ability to handle all legal issues that may arise for an international corporate organization, coupled with a proven track record of protecting and enforcing his organizations' rights worldwide will be invaluable resources to PCEG. Matt received a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with majors in History, Political Science, and International Relations and then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. |
